5G MOBILE ACCESS
Since the launch of world's first 5G services in Korea in 2019, 5G network continues to evolve.
To support the growth of 5G networks and provide a wider variety of applications and services, the Radio Access Network and Packet Core are continuously adapting to satisfy the requirements of eMBB (Enhanced Mobile Broadband), mMTC (Massive Machine Type Communication), and uRLLC (Ultra Reliable Low-Latency Communication), which are essential traits of a 5G network.
Based on the experiences of supporting 4G LTE services, the ubiQuoss 5G Mobile Access Solution includes 5G Mobile Backhaul Switch and Fronthaul WDM MUX to support 5G services of Korean carriers.
The 5G Mobile Backhaul Switch is called a Cell Site Router because it is located in the Cell Site. It connects between the DU (Base Station) and the Packet Core, and handles data traffic between the DU and Aggregation Router.
The ubiQuoss 5G Mobile Backhaul Switch perfectly satisfies the requirements of an actual 5G service network by supporting advanced Time Synchronization technology of ubiQuoss, and IP/MPLS based segment routing. The 5G Fronthaul MUX handles the fronthaul section of the network, and allows efficient use of optical infrastructure through Ring Topology.
The ubiQuoss 5G Mobile Access Solution is continuously advancing towards the future of 5G networks with its support of O-RAN 7.2x, Ethernet based development for cost-effective and easy management, and planned release of x-Haul for integrated management of Fronthaul and Backhaul.
Taking the lead in technological innovation, ubiQuoss is at the forefront of 5G Network Evolution.
